What Ways is Dermatology Institute is Keeping You and Our Staff Safe?

  • Protection:

To follow the highest safety measures, we require all patients to wear their face masks at all times, even during their skin exam, as well as coming and going.  If you do not have a mask, we have masks for purchase for $2.  We have installed plexiglass around our check in and check out front office.  All of our staff have been wearing masks since the beginning of March and we add goggles, N-95 masks, or face shields for longer or higher risk procedures. If you would feel more comfortable with face shields on your provider during your visit, please notify the front office so we can make you feel as safe as possible.

  • Mandatory 6 feet spacing:

Mandatory measures will ensure that all patients are 6 feet apart by using markings on the floor to designate where patients should stand when checking in and out.

  • Screening:

Patient screening will include temperature checks before entering the exam rooms.   No staff is allowed to work if they are not feeling well and all staff must be Covid-19 tested if they do not feel well for any reason and will not be allowed to work without medical clearance. For our big cosmetic procedures, it will also be required for patients to have Covid-19 testing for pre-op clearance.

  • Prioritizing Cleanliness:

After every patient, every room is thoroughly disinfected.  Break rooms, bathrooms and common areas are being disinfected frequently.  Disinfectants, hand sanitizers, and related supplies have been and will continue to be available to staff and patients at all times.  Additionally, there will be a 15 minute “Covid Cleaning” appointment incorporated into the schedule 6 times throughout the day for deep cleaning.

  • Minimal to No waiting: Waiting Room chairs are blocked for social distancing. We are limiting MOHS surgery so that patients will wait in their own exam room.
  • Limiting Interactions:

Non-patient visitors will be limited and only minors or patients needing assistance will be allowed to bring a guest. We will be staggering appointments for the entire clinic with only 70% or less of our usual capacity to allow for social distancing.

Ensuring your safety and wellbeing is the utmost importance!  We have not closed at all during this pandemic and we have ensured a safe environment this entire time.  We will continue to go the extra mile for you during these uncertain and challenging times.
